Beth was born in Sumter, South Carolina on Shaw Air Force base. Coming from a large military family, her parents instilled a lifetime of values and work ethic. She was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, but returned to her native South Carolina to attend Clemson University. In 1994, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked as a paralegal with a large REO and default services firm. She obtained her J.D. in 2002 from Georgia State University of Law while she worked full time. During law school, she participated in Moot Court and won the John Marshall Chicago Law International and Privacy Competition. The Georgia House of Representatives passed House Resolution 947 honoring her and her team mates for excellence in advocacy. After law school, she worked for several large real estate firms, specializing in the default services area of practice. She has been a member of the Real Estate and Legal Community for over fifteen years. In 2013, she and her law partner Abby Ersin opened Cruikshank Ersin, LLC. She provides the firm’s clients with her expertise in default services, title examination, review and correction, closings, foreclosures, loss mitigation workouts, and landlord/tenant matters.
